Public outreach in the European Researchers’ Night

The European Researchers’ Night is a Europe-wide public event that displays science’s diversity and its impact on citizens’ daily lives in fun and inspiring ways. This year, the event occurred in 26 countries on Friday, 30 September 2022. The European Training Network on PErsonalized Robotics as SErvice Oriented applications – PERSEO – participated in the event in Napoli, Italy, organized by STREETS and engaged with citizens of all ages to raise awareness about research and its impact on society.

Children, young people and families had the chance to meet researchers of PERSEO and discover research, robotics and innovation through hands-on experiments. Specifically, the early-stage researchers of the program, Georgios Angelopoulos and Francesco Vigni presented an experiment on the transparency of AI-embodied agents.
